Fresh Meat Online – ZAR Retail has recently launched – but our company has been years in the making. Five years ago a group of emergent farmers got together to share a dream.
We wanted to start a company where we could sell our products direct to the public. We realized that we were too reliant on others to sell our goods in a market that was difficult for us to access. Working with a middleman also pushed prices way up – and put good quality, healthy food out of the reach of the average consumer.
